Our origins are in Altair Engineering Inspection, established in Singapore in 2008 and recognised today as one of the leading NDT service providers in Southeast Asia — accredited to ISO 9001, ISO 17025, SAC-SINGLAS, and DNV-UKAS, and trusted by over 300 clients across Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Shipbuilding, and Aerospace sectors.
The formation of Altair Systems as a dedicated automated inspection systems division reflects the natural evolution of that expertise. Years of deploying inspection services across the region revealed a clear and consistent gap: the automated NDT inspection systems available in the market were often engineered without sufficient application knowledge — designed as mechanical and software platforms first, and adapted to inspection requirements second
Altair Systems was founded to close that gap. We engineer automated inspection systems the other way around — starting with the inspection requirement, the applicable standard, and the defect population that must be reliably detected, and building the system that meets those requirements precisely.

Our application engineers have hands-on experience deploying the inspection methods our systems are built around — giving them the practical knowledge that simulation and theoretical training alone cannot provide.
